VOX is a concept which was detailed out in a course module which was a collaboration between NID & IIM.

 

The idea behind the exercise was to cross pollinate the two groups with Design Thinking and Business Thinking. There were around 12 teams each with a group of 4 individuals i.e., 2 members from NID (NMD & SDM) and 2 members from IIM. The span of the course was around 4 weeks with weekly 2 collaborative sessions.

We developed the concept called VOX which is essentially a on-the-go language translator, VOX essentially have 3 main components:

1. VOX Jacket

2. VOX Ear

3. VOX mobile app

VOX Ear and VOX Jacket works in-sync with VOX mobile application which can easily work with any smart phone. It can be used for voice to voice communication or voice to text communication across languages. The entire process of data translation and it’s storage happens on VOX cloud. VOX has potential to cater all translation needs whether it could be for movie in different language Or a business conferences over the globe.

 

VOX operates on different mode which can be toggled quickly using the mobile app:

• Speaker mode

• On call mode

• VOX to VOX mode
